Ismael Rivera was voted as President of the ATU International Latino Caucus in 2016.  In that same year, he was also voted in as President/Business Agent of ATU Local 1596.  He served as Presdient of his local chapter from 2016-2019.  Prior to becoming President of the ATUILC he served as their Southeast Region Representative for 3 years while also serving as the Vice President of ATU Local 1596.  He had also served as the Vice President of his local Latino Caucus chapter for 2 years.  He has been an active member with ATU Local 1596 for 14 years and was also a member of TWU Local 100 for 7 years.  Ismael also serves on the following organizations:

• Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA)
• Vice President for Transportation of the Orlando Central Labor Council
• Certified Florida Public Pension Trustee

On his personal time he enjoys traveling with his wife and coaching little league baseball with his grandchildren.
