ABOUT US 

The ATU Can-Am Conference is a unique opportunity to come together to discuss shared purpose, shared issues, trends impacting the Labor movement and strategies to present a united front to strengthen ATU’s mandate and its influence. ATU Can-Am has a great history of bringing together leaders of ATU Locals at this educational conference to address the critical factors that affect our membership, including:

  • Benefits, Global Equity Outlook

This conference provides incredible value to our members, its elected leaders and the communities it serves across our borders. 

The ATU CAN-AM Conference is proud to mark its 25th Anniversary in 2019.

OUR MISSION

The ATU CAN-AM Conference exists to advance the principles and goals set forth in the Constitution and General Laws of the Amalgamated Transit Union.

CONFERENCE BOARD'S MANDATE:

  • To promote means and ways to assist ATU International and local unions in the complete organization of all employees of the various transportation systems of the United States, and Canada, where no organized body already exists, and to strengthen and enlarge the locals of the Amalgamated Transit Union.

  • To establish better communications between the various locals of the Amalgamated Transit Union, and to secure united and harmonious action in all matters affecting the welfare of our members.

  • To promote political education among our leaders.

  • To unite our locals to form a stronger bond. Together we will be able to accomplish our goals set by our International Office of the Amalgamated Transit Union.
