I've been with the City of Tampa for 15+ years. I started my career as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Shortly after becoming a member of ATU 1464, I took on the role of Executive Board Member. I began building relationships in the workplace, maintaining a good work environment and educating employees on the role of, and benefits in having a Union. I'm motivated by the Labor Movement and the great need for mobilization in our area. While at the WW Treatment Plant, our membership grew from 30%-90%. Now, as President, I'd like to lead the charge on building our membership to 100% citywide, encouraging ALL bargaining unit employees to join our movement. Together we can make it better! As we grow into one band with one sound, I feel our Union will be an integral part of us reaching our goals and keeping our City and community thriving.
